William George Stubbs, 78, of Mullica Hill passed away April 4, 2017. Born and raised in Gloucester City, Bill later resided in Mullica Hill.
He graduated from Rutgers with a BA and Masters in Educational Administration. Bill began his career teaching English and Spanish at Paulsboro High School. He went on to become principle at West Deptford Middle School and ultimately principle at West Deptford High School. After retirement, he had interim positions at Paulsboro High School and Rowan.
Bill enjoyed traveling with his wife and on school trips. He was a life long Phillies fan and an avid reader. He enjoyed exercise and time with his family down the shore.
Bill is survived by his wife of 46 years, Marguerite (nee Piazza); sister in law, Pauline (nee Piazza) Freund (Edward); nephew, Joseph (Melissa) Freund and their children, Anthony and Amelia; nephew, Mark (Jillian Whidby) Freund and their daughter, Maria; nephew, David Nitzky; numerous cousins and countless friends, colleagues, and students.
Viewing will be Sun 6-8pm at Landolfi Funeral Home 300 W. Broad St. Paulsboro. Visitation will be Mon 9-10am at The Catholic Community of Holy Spirit, 17 Earlington Ave., Mullica Hill, where Mass will be celebrated at 10am. Burial St. Joseph Cemetery Swedesboro.
