Sophia Plisak, a woman who found joy in the details of everyday life, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025 at the age of 94.

Sophia was someone who liked to keep things organized, down to the last drawer. Her life was filled with simple pleasures: a well-done crossword puzzle, a good meal shared with friends, and long phone calls that turned into lifelines for the people who loved her. She was a Foodie, if it had to do with food—eating it, making it, or talking about it—Sophia was in.

She enjoyed going to Atlantic City Casinos and had a soft spot for seashells, collecting them like memories—each one different, each one treasured.

Sophia will be remembered for her warmth, her honesty, and the way she made people feel heard and cared for. She didn't need the spotlight—just good conversation, good company, and a little order in the chaos.

She is survived by her children Carol Kaminsky and Michael and Maryann Plisak, and her 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

A private service was held at Eglington Cemetery in Clarksboro New Jersey. In lieu of flowers or cards the family requests you call someone you love--just like Sophia would have done.
