Ronald M. DiNicola, 84, lifelong resident of Gibbstown, passed away July 25, 2025. He is the son of the late Milton and Jennie (Capasso) DiNicola. Beloved brother of Ralph DiNicola and Rita (Daniel) Guinaugh. Survived by nieces, nephews and many cousins.
Ron was an electrical engineer with a professional engineering license. He had a BS degree from Drexel and a Masters from the University of Penn. He retired from General Electric/Lockheed Martin where he supported rocket launches from California and Florida. He was a 1959 graduate of Paulsboro High School. For many years he led the church choir at St. Michael's Church, he was the conductor of the Italian-American St. Michael's Band, Paulsboro High School Band and he played the trumpet for a popular ensemble called the "Peptones".
Ron had a good sense of humor, played the piano, accordion and trumpet. He liked good stand-up comedy and listening to the 40's singers; Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett. He was known for giving flowers, baked cakes and sharing food items with the town seniors.
Family and friends are invited to his viewing on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at the St. Clare of Assisi Parish (St. Michael's Church), 313 Memorial Avenue, Gibbstown NJ, from 9:30-10:45AM, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM. Entombment Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to : St. Clare of Assisi Parish, 140 Broad St., Swedesboro NJ 08085.
