Robert J. Sweet, Sr., 65, of Salem, passed away February 11, 2023. He is the beloved father of Cristal (Robert) Verdinelli, Michael (Jacqui) and Robert (Katie) Sweet, grandfather of Destiny Adrianna, Zachary, Kaleigh, Brielle, Xander, Shawn, Jazmin and brother of William C. Sweet. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his mother Margaret Shute (Toomas), his father William J. Sweet and step father Everett Shute.

Robert enjoyed BBQ's, camping, hunting and get togethers with friends and family. He was known for watching Nascar and wrestling every week. His favorite stock car racer was Dale Earnhardt and his favorite wrestler was Hulk Hogan. He was loved and will be missed by many friends and family  members. All services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
