Rita M. Minnite (nee Salvatore), 80, long time resident of Paulsboro, passed away March 14, 2011, surrounded by her loving family. She is the beloved wife of the late John B. Minnite, devoted mother of Christine (Jerry) Sheeky, John (Linda) Minnite, Lisa (William) Mitchell, sister of Eleanor Smitheman and the late Gertrude Smith, loving grandmother of Kimberly (Doug) King, F. Michelle (Nick) Policella, Maryann (Dean) Montemore, William J. Mitchell, Kimberly (William) Morgan and 6 great grandchildren.

Rita retired as a self-employed LPN who had also worked for Underwood Hospital, was a past cheerleading coach for the original Paulsboro Oilers Football team, Past President of the Paulsboro Fire Co. Ladies Auxilary and had held several positions with the Gibbstown VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She loved the shore, was a very active and vibrant person, and, especially loved being with her family.

A viewing will be on Saturday 9-11am at the LANDOLFI FUNERAL HOME of Paulsboro, 300 W. Broad St., followed by services at 11am. Interment will be private.
