Passed away peacefully at home on August 21, 2023, surrounded by his loving family, of Clayton, NJ, formerly of Clarksboro, NJ,  age 75 yrs. Beloved husband of 50 years to  Kathleen. Devoted father of Wesley Hampton (Sharon) and the late Raymond Hampton, III (Marlene). Dear brother of Jackie Patrick, Grace Morlock, and the late Glenn Hampton. Loving grandfather of 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Ray grew up in Clarksboro, NJ where he graduated from Kingsway High School. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during Korea. Ray was a lifelong mechanic who loved working on cars. He enjoyed drag racing at Atco Speedway, traveling, and cruises. Ray will always be remembered as a hardworking man who was loved by everyone who knew him. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Friday morning from 10am to 11am at LANDOLFI FUNERAL HOME, 300 W. Broad Street, Paulsboro, NJ. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro, NJ.
