Peter J. Silvestro, 83, of Gibbstown, passed away January 14, 2015, with his family by his side. He is the beloved husband of the late Janet (nee Zane), son of the late Frank and Jennie Silvestro, brother of the late Alex Silvestro and Emily Wright. Survived by his sister Mary Cipollini, brother Joseph (Lori) Silvestro, and many nieces and nephews.

Peter retired with 25 years of service with the DuPont Co. in Deepwater. After retirement he worked for Funari's Thriftway, many years as a school crossing guard and a security guard for Tri County Security. He was a member of the St. Michael's Band, he enjoyed going to the casino, travelling on many bus trips, caring for many animals, especially his backyard friends.

A Memorial will be held on Tuesday, visitation 10-11am at the St. Clare of Assisi Parish (St. Michael's Church), 313 Memorial Ave., Gibbstown, followed by a Mass of Christian burial 11am.
