Obituary

Paul Onofrio Arnone, 80, of Dorchester, NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at home under hospice care, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's dementia. Born in Wilkes Barre, PA, Paul was the beloved son of the late Onofrio and Theresa (Valenti) Arnone. He was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Debra (Foster) Arnone, whom he married in 1984.

Paul is survived by his loving children: son Brian Arnone and his wife Marie; daughters Grace Arnone Hummel and her husband Steven, and Angela Arnone; and son Steven Arnone. He is also survived by his brothers, John Arnone (Rae Anne) and Joseph Arnone (Bonnie), his sister, Marie Arnone, and a host of nieces and nephews. Paul shared a lifelong, unbreakable bond with his best friend, John Conden, who stood by his side through thick and thin.

Paul's life was filled with love, not just from his family and friends but also from his adored feline companions, especially Princess, who stayed by his side during his final moments. A dedicated journeyman lineman and proud member of IBEW Local 351, Paul worked tirelessly to provide for his family. His patriotism was evident in his honorable service in the United States Army, where he enlisted in 1964.

Paul was passionate about the outdoors, spending countless hours hunting, fishing, crabbing, and clamming. He found peace on his boat and in his tree stands, always in search of the biggest buck. His love for adventure was also expressed in the many miles he rode on his Harley, particularly with his dear friend Al Mascola. Among his most treasured memories were fishing trips with his father, time spent with family, and visits to Daytona for Bike Week with Al.

Paul will be remembered for his infectious sense of humor and his ability to bring laughter to those around him. As his children, we were blessed with the best father we could have ever asked for; he was our rock, always there in our times of need. Though our hearts ache with his passing, we find comfort in knowing he is now reunited with our mother. Paul's legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Family and friends are invited to his viewing on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at the LANDOLFI FUNERAL HOME of Paulsboro, 300 W. Broad St., Paulsboro NJ, from 4:30-6:00pm. A service will immediately follow at 6:00pm. Interment will be privately held at another time. To share condolences please visit www.landolfifuneralhome.com
