Nicola Gattuso of Gibbstown, NJ, age 88 years, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on January 5, 2023.  He is the beloved husband of Santa (nee Martino) of 59 years. Devoted father of Mattia Gattuso Marzucca and her husband Anthony. Dear brother of Caterina Cuzzocrea and the late Vincenzo Gattuso. Also survived by his sister-in-law Fortunata Gattuso, his nephew Frank Gattuso, Esq., as well as numerous loving nieces and nephews. Nick was born and raised in Reggio Calabria, Italy and immigrated to the United States in 1961. He and his brother enjoyed a long career as butchers with Funari's Thriftway in Gibbstown, NJ. Nick was a member of the Order Son's of Italy, Carmel S. Morina Lodge located in Paulsboro, NJ. He enjoyed gardening, winemaking, and above all spending time with his family. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Thursday evening from 6PM to 8PM, and again on Friday morning from 9am at St. Clare of Assisi Parish, St. Michael's Church, Memorial Ave, Gibbstown, NJ, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am.
