"Murphy" A. Chiavoroli, 86, of Gibbstown, passed away November 26, 2014, at home, surrounded by his family. He is the beloved husband of 65 years to Helen (nee Capasso), devoted father of Jim (Lori) Chiavoroli, Marielena (Ed) Brown, loving grandfather of Jenna, Matthew, Brittany, Chelsea, Kelli, brother of Maria (late Horace) Battersby, Antoinette (late Herman) Lippincott, Susan (Ken) Nixon, also survived by many nieces and nephews.
"Murphy" was a Past President of St. Michael's Club, Gibbstown Board of Education, was a member of St. Michael's Band and Church, the Gibbstown Democrat Committee, Kiwanis Club of Paulsboro and senior citizens of Williamstown. He was an inspector for the Board of Health in Gibbstown, was a supervisor for DuPont's Repauno and Wilmington plants and, in retirement, worked for Funari's Thriftway.
A viewing will be on Tuesday 6-8pm and Wednesday 9:30-10:30am at the LANDOLFI FUNERAL HOME of Paulsboro, 300 W. Broad St., followed by a Mass of Christian burial, 11:00am, at the St. Clare of Assisi Parish (St. Michael's Church), 313 Memorial Ave., Gibbstown. Interment Eglington Cemetery.
