Michael J. DiFilippantonio, Sr., 92, of Gibbstown, passed away April 11, 2014. He is the beloved father of Jerry and Michael Jr., survived by his brother Carmen, 4 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and his partner Kitty Dix. Predeceased by his wife Della (nee DeSalvo), sisters Nettie and Jennie.

Born in Penns Grove, he lived in Gibbstown 69 years and he retired from DuPont Chambers Works after 42 years of service.  Mike was a devout Roman Catholic, served as an Usher and Eucharistic Minister for St. Michael's Church, loved watching sports, playing poker, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a WWII Army Air Corp Veteran.

A viewing will be on Tuesday 9:45-11am at the St. Clare of Assisi Parish (St. Michael's Church), Memorial Ave., Gibbstown, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11am.
