Mary Contino (nee Gattuso), 91, life long resident of Paulsboro, passed away February 27, 2016.
Born in Paulsboro, she lived her entire life there. She worked as a secretary at the Philadelphia Navy Yard for 10 yrs. Mary then went to work as a secretary for Dupont for 1 yr. Eventually, Mary went to work as a secretary at Paulsboro High School retiring in 1989.
Mary loved to cook and enjoyed having her family over for dinner often.
She is the wife of the late John Contino, beloved mother of John (Cynthia Gilbert) Contino, David (Maryjane) Contino, Marianne (John Ferencisk) Contino, Eileen (Thomas) Therrien, loving grandmother of Anthony, Annicia, Maribeth, Brooke, Karen, sister of Antoinette Gibson, Anna Forfa, Bruno Gattuso, Francesco Gattuso, Ermina Passarella and Domenic Gattuso. Predeceased by grandson Dean, sisters Catherine Fermano and Angela Carney.
Visitation with the family will be on Friday 9:30-10:30am at the St. Clare of Assisi Parish (St. John's Church), 647 Beacon Ave., Paulsboro, followed by a Mass of Christian burial 10:30am. Burial Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery, Williamstown.
