Maria (Mary) G. Battersby (nee Chiavoroli), 93, lifelong resident of Gibbstown, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2024, at home surrounded by her loving family. She is the beloved wife of 63 years to the late Horace Battersby. Devoted mother to Frank (Cindy) Battersby and Regina (Frank) Minniti. Loving grandmother of Casey, Andrew (Caitlyn), Kerry (Roger Morin) Battersby and Frank (Kaitlin) and Ashley Minniti. Special great grandmother to Leni and Bronson Battersby and Brayden and Sabrina Minniti. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.  She is predeceased by her brother Murphy (Helen) Chiavoroli, sisters Antoinette (Herman) Lippincott, and Susan (Kenneth) Nixon.

Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She adored her grandchildren and loved attending all their sporting events and school activities. She was so proud of them and did not hesitate to brag about them to anyone who would listen.  Mary was blessed to have four great grandchildren, who she loved dearly.  In the summertime she loved getting together with her coffee klatch friends on her patio. Mary will be remembered for her kind heart and willingness to help anyone in need.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at the Landolfi Funeral Home, 300 W. Broad Street, Paulsboro, NJ from 9:30 to 11:00 AM. Service immediately following at 11:00 AM. Interment at Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro, NJ.
