Leon J. Perletta, 82, of Deptford, formerly of Gibbstown, passed away August 20, 2010. He is the beloved husband of Anne (nee Marchegiani-Markegene), devoted father of Leona (Thomas) Davis, Marcia Ferretti, Carla (Wenton) Camporin, 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents Leone and Clementine (nee Pirocchi) Perletta.

Born in Philadelphia, raised in Paulsboro, graduated from Paulsboro HS in 1946, a US Army Veteran and a member of the St. Michael's Mutual Club. Retired from Mobil Research after 37 years of service, was an avid bowler, enjoyed his morning walks and loved following the PHS wrestling team.

A viewing will be on Wednesday 9-10:30am at St. John's Church, Beacon Ave., Paulsboro, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am. Interment Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery, Monroe Twp. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to be made in Leon's memory to the Lighthouse Hospice, 1040 Kings Hwy., Cherry Hill NJ 08034.
