Lawrence E. Ewan, 87, of Vineland, formerly of Gibbstown, passed away April 18, 2017. He is the son of the late Lawrence and Madolyn Ewan (nee Porter) of Paulsboro. Larry served in the US Air Force for 4 years, serving as an aircraft mechanic. He was an employee of the Paulsboro Mobil Refinery and retired after 40 years of service in 1989. He is survived by his wife Patty Ewan (nee Stiffler), daughters Sandra (John) Salvatore, Linda (William) Heilman, Diane (Sam) Nieves, grandchildren John (Lindsay) Salvatore Jr., Jennifer (Michael) Flatley, Christina (Gary) Kille, great grandchildren Dakota and Dylan McCallion, Ethan and Hayden Kille, Granddog Cooper Salvatore, and Thomas Nieves. Predeceased by his son Dennis Ewan, daughter Judith Gordon and sister Lois Murray.
Larry loved to go camping, fishing and crabbing with his family. He was an avid boater and enjoyed taking his grandchildren out on his boat and going to the Florida Keys for fishing, diving and lobster catching. His grandchildren were his whole life and he loved spending every day he could with them.
A viewing will be on Monday 9-10:30AM at the LANDOLFI FUNERAL HOME, 300 W. Broad St., Paulsboro. Services will immediately follow 10:30AM. Interment Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro.
