Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family on October 2, 2017 of Mullica Hill, formerly of Paulsboro, NJ, age 80 yrs. Beloved husband of Clarita (nee Lipsett). Devoted father of Joseph R. (Joanne), Lisa Wohlfarth (James), and David (Maryann). Loving grandfather of Michael, Brooke, Kim, Dennis, Joseph, Justin, Jeffrey, Nicolina, Kelsea, and David. Great-grandfather of Taylor, Carson, Giovani, Ava, Olivia, and Emma. Predeceased by his sisters Dolores Burzichelli and Anita Cockrell. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mr. Salvatore retired from Ogden Maintenance Corp as a Site Manager with 30 yrs of service. He Served 2 terms on Paulsboro Borough Council and 11 yrs as President of Spicer Estates HOA. In his leisure time, Joseph enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 PM and again on Friday morning from 9:15 am at the Catholic Community of the Holy Spirit, Holy Name of Jesus Church, 17 Earlington Ave, Mullica Hill NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Swedesboro, NJ.
