Joseph J. Duca, Sr., of Gibbstown, passed away June 18, 2012, at home, with his family by his side. He is the beloved husband of Elaine A. (nee Mitana), devoted father of Dawn (Mark) Barber, Joseph Jr. (Joyce) and Dean (Lisa) Duca, loving grandfather of Mark, Nicholas, Brionna, Joey, Dominique, Geno, Nicholas, Anthony, great grandson Dominick, brother of Rose Novotny, Josephine (Raymond) Kappra, Madeline Gentile, Viola Arrivello, Cathy (Carl) Vicere, Pete (Catherine) and Charles Duca. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Joe was a US Army Veteran serving in the Korean War, was a member of the Anthony T. Calista Gibbstown VFW and the Carmel S. Morina Sons of Italy.

A visitation with the family will be on Friday 10-10:45am at the St. Michael's Church, St. Clare of Assisi Parish, Memorial Ave., Gibbstown, with a funeral Mass at 11am. Interment will be private. At the request of the family it is suggested that in lieu of flowers donations be made in Joe's memory to the Paulsboro Wrestling Assoc., PO Box 98, Gibbstown NJ 08027.
