Joseph P. Chapes, Sr., 70, of Pitman, passed away April 7, 2025. He is the beloved husband of the late Susie Chapes (nee Lemke). Devoted father of David (Jessica) Chapes, Katie (Chapes) Randy, Joey Chapes, grandfather of Margarite, David, Gia, Randi, Sue, brother of Kathleen Hampton and Helen Chapes-Schappart. Predeceased by his siblings Anthony, Margarite and Val.

Joe worked as a Chef in many restaurants throughout his career. He enjoyed Philadelphia sports especially the Eagles. Treasured spending time with his family, loved to walk, fishing and crabbing. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed listening to Frank Sinatra and classic rock. He will be missed by all those that knew and loved him.
