Josefine Elias (nee Schua), 86, of Brooklawn, passed away peacefully January 16, 2013, at home, with her loved ones present. She was born in Czechoslovakia and was a citizen of Germany when she came to the US in 1966. She will be dearly missed by her daughters Karin (George) Langley, Petra (Frank) Smith, her grandchildren Geoffrey and Elyse Langley, Carly Smith, Erich (Jess) Smith and Kaitlyn (Bryan) Kiefer.

She was a member of the Brooklawn United Methodist Church, where she was active with the United Methodist Women and sang in the choir for over 20 years. "Josie" retired from Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in 2002, where she loved her work in the mother/baby unit and later in medical/surgical.

Visitation with the family will take place on Saturday, 9-11am, at the Brooklawn United Methodist Church, Maude and Hannevig Aves., Brooklawn NJ 08030; followed by a Memorial worship at 11am.
