John G. Sopko, 62, of West Deptford, formerly of Gibbstown, passed away suddenly March 28, 2022. He is the beloved husband of Rosemary (nee Santangelo), loving brother of Joseph and Tim (Denise) Sopko,  devoted stepfather to Michael and Jaime, grandfather of 6 beautiful grandchildren, nephew of Aunt Linda, Aunt Julianna, Uncle Eddie and Aunt Joan. He is also survived by his sweet cousins Krista, Joey, Chrissy, Alicia and his sweet nephews Adam and Tommy. Predeceased by his parents John and Elaine Sopko and sister Debbie Smith.

John loved being with his best friend and soulmate, Rosemary, doing something together every day no matter what it was. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and being with his best canine buddy Wilbur. For over 30 years he worked as a tanker truck driver for Dana Transport and Samuel Coraluzzo/Torrissi Transport.

John was a great man and loved by many. He will be missed by all those that knew and loved him.

Family and friends are invited to his Memorial on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, visitation 10-11AM at the St. Clare of Assisi Parish (St. Michael's Church), Memorial Ave., Gibbstown, followed by a Mass at 11am. Interment will be private.
