John B. Minnite, 86, born and raised in Paulsboro, passed away November 30, 2008, at Shady Lane Nursing Home, with his family by his side. He is the beloved husband of Rita (nee Salvatore), loving father of Christine (Jerry) Sheeky, Lisa (Bill) Mitchell, John (Linda) Minnite, devoted brother of Anthony (Chubby) Minnite, George Minnite, Louise Santoro and grandfather of Kimberly (Douglas) King, Michele (Nick) Policella, Maryann (Dean) Montemore, William Mitchell, Kimberly (William) Morgan and great-grandfather of 6.

John retired from Mobil Oil Refinery in 1981, was a WWII Navy Veteran, life member of the Anthony T. Calista Post 5579 VFW in Gibbstown and one of the original members of the Paulsboro Oilers Midget Football Assoc.

A viewing will be on Thursday 7-9PM and Friday 10-11AM at the Landolfi Funeral Home of Paulsboro, 300 W. Broad St. Services will immediately follow 11AM. Interment will be private.
