Passed away on August 24, 2021, of Gibbstown, NJ, age 61yrs.  Beloved son of the late John and Betty LeGates.  He is survived by his siblings Betty Pavone, Christine Smith (Andrew), Wendy Legates-Cornwell, and Jerry Legates, several nieces and nephews as well as his best friends Pat Velahos and Mike Giampola.  John was a self-employed painter and was inspired to be the worlds greatest painter. He enjoyed trips to the casino, painting, playing cards, cheering for the Dallas Cowboys, football pools, rock music and spending time with family and friends and sitting quietly in local parks.  John, who was considered an honorary member of the Velahos family could often be found spending time sitting on the porch enjoying coffee. He was an Honorary member of the Road Runners.  Family and friends are invited to a Memorial on Saturday, September 18th 2021, at the Clonmell Methodist Church, 516 W. Broad Street, Gibbstown NJ.
