John J. Gentile, 60, lifelong resident of Paulsboro, passed away suddenly January 28, 2023. He is the beloved father of Giovanni, Ronald, and Giovanna Gentile, loving son of Gertrude (nee Nickerson) and the late John N. Gentile, brother of Gina (Carmel) Morina, Toni (Martin) Ware, and uncle to many nieces and nephews, who were the butt of his creative jingles. Also survived by his friend, mother of his children and former wife; Tina Gentile.  The most important part of John's life was his children and never missing any activity they participated in.

John was a 1981 Paulsboro graduate, where he played football and wrestled. He achieved Summa Cum Laude at Kean University with a bachelor's degree in accounting . He loved his sports and fantasy football. He was also a wrestling official at the high school and midget levels with the NJWOA Southern Chapter. John was a former Paulsboro Councilman and Financial Consultant for Midland National Life Insurance Company. John was an entertainer, in more ways than one, most recently the lead singer in the band Glacier. John loved his family, friends, music and all things Italian, with a passion. For all those that knew and loved John he will be sorely missed.

Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Monday, February 6, 2023, at the St. Clare of Assisi Parish (St. Michael's Church), 313 Memorial Avenue, Gibbstown NJ, from 5-8PM and on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, from 9:30-10:15AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:30AM. Interment Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro , NJ.
