Hoelle, 72, of Gibbstown, passed away on May 15, 2025.  Jeff was a veteran of the United States Navy and a 1970 graduate of Woodbury High School.  He dedicated 41 years to the Gibbstown Volunteer Fire Company, where he held several leadership roles, including President, Assistant Secretary/Treasurer, and Trustee.  He was named Firefighter of the Year in 2002 and was most recently serving as President of the Relief Association.

Jeff's first job was as a paperboy in the city of Woodbury, where he delivered newspapers to 150 customers before school each morning.  Throughout his professional career, he worked as an Instrumentation Technician, holding positions at companies such as Mobil, Sunoco, Smith Instrument Co., and ultimately retiring from Chemours.

Jeff's compassion extended to animals, and he was especially devoted to rescuing those in need.  He shared his home and heart with many beloved pets throughout his life, who brought him endless joy and companionship.  Jeff will be remembered for his commitment to service and the lasting impact he made on the community and his fellow firefighters.
