"MISS JEANNE" Jeanne H. Giampola (nee Tasca), 81, of Paulsboro, passed away January 17, 2016, at home, with her family by her side. She is the wife of the late "POP" Alfonso, beloved mother of Alfonso (Paula), loving grandmother/great grandmother of Stephenie (Rob), Alfonso Jr. (Erin), Brittany, Charlotte, Alfonso III, Caylee, Christian, Addison and Alessio.

"Miss Jeanne" was very proud of her Masters degree that she earned at Rutgers University. She was with the Gloucester County Board of Chosen Freeholders, as an Administrative Aide, to Freeholder Director Robert Damminger, she was elected to Paulsboro Borough Council, where she served for over 23 years, 12 of which she was Council President. Jeanne was also a long time Municipal Chair of the Paulsboro Democrat Committee, founder of Paulsboro Christmas Project, Paulsboro Girls Scouts and Softball. After retirement she continued to work as Secretary for the Gloucester County Construction Board of Appeals.

A viewing will be on Thursday 6-8PM and Friday 8:30-9:30AM at the LANDOLFI FUNERAL HOME of Paulsboro, 300 W. Broad St., followed by a Mass of Christian burial at the St. Clare of Assisi Parish (St. John's Church) 647 Beacon Ave., Paulsboro. Interment Eglington Cemetery.
