On Friday, November 15, 2019, Janet C. Jeffers, of Gibbstown, NJ, began her final journey, walking with Jesus. She was predeceased by her parents, William and Florence Jeffers of Gibbstown, NJ. She will be sadly missed by her sister Florence Turton (Frank) of Paulsboro, NJ and her brother Bill Jeffers (Frances) of Zephyr Hills, FL, nephews Michael Turton (Cher) of Mantua, NJ and Andrew Turton (Lauren) of Media, PA, and by her cherished Grand-Nieces, Brittany Turton and Shelby Turton of Gibbstown, NJ and Kayla Pierce of Mantua, NJ. Janet was a 1966 graduate of Paulsboro High School and earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Rutgers University. She was a Counselor/Case Worker for New Point Behavioral Association of Gloucester County. Janet had many interests, not the least of which was her talent as a seamstress and dress maker. She enjoyed watching the Phillies and Eagles and spending time with her family. Janet was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church in Gibbstown and most recently of the Wenonah Memorial Presbyterian Church in Wenonah where she performed in the Bell Choir. She also worked tirelessly running Nahida's Pantry, which helps over thirty families in need. Janet was a strong willed and hard working friend to all who knew her. Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Saturday, November 23, 2019 from 10am to 11am at the Memorial Presbyterian Church, 202 Mantua Ave, Wenonah, NJ, where a Memorial Service will follow at 11am. Burial will take place privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Memorial Presbyterian Church at the above address.
