James "Bear" McGill, 75, of West Deptford, formerly of Gibbstown, passed away March 6, 2025. He is the beloved husband of Shirley (nee Siegfried), devoted father of Karen (Robert) Black, Christopher (Lori) McCurley, Ryan and Casey McCurley, loving grandfather of Jackson, Garrett, Quinn May, Hailey, Pearl, Christopher, Hunter, great grandfather of Brynnlee and Lainey Rae. Also survived by his siblings Larry (Terri) McGill, Keith McGill, Cathy (Lewis) Vaughn and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother Robert McGill.

Jim was a lifelong volunteer firefighter and EMT in Auburn NJ and Jefferson Maine. He proudly served his country in the Air Force reserves during the Vietnam War. Jim was fiercely proud of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching baseball and playing pinochle with family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to his celebration of life on Saturday, March 15 2025, from 2pm to 3pm at the LANDOLFI FUNERAL HOME, 300 W. Broad Street, Paulsboro NJ. A short service will take place at 3pm. Interment will take place privately.
