James "Jim" A. Lowe, 72, of Ocean City, passed away at home with family by his side on June 14th, 2025. He is the beloved husband of Candelle Lowe; father to Jim (Meghan) and Matt (Mary); and grandfather to Samuel, Benjamin, Alexander, Andromeda, Renly, Arryn, and Nyrra. Jim is survived by his brother Mike (Susan), favorite niece Stephanie, sisters-in-law Margie and Lucetta, numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and other extended family. He was predeceased by his father Eugene; mother Margaret "Mary"; younger brother Gene; and older brother Joe and his wife, Linda.
Jim was a native of the Paulsboro/Gibbstown area where he was married to Candelle and began his career at Mobil. The young couple moved to Ocean City to raise their family, but Jim continued to work in Paulsboro. He assumed multiple roles during his career at the Mobil(later Valero) refinery relating to the field of electricity and continued to work even after officially retiring in his 60s.
Jim had no shortage of friends and easily found them wherever he worked, lived, or travelled. In his later years, he would split his time between Ocean City; Paulsboro; and Lakeland, FL. Never one to sit still, Jim enjoyed travelling all over the United States, at first in an RV, then on a motorcycle, and then back to an RV.
Relatives and friends are invited on June 24th, 2025 to visitation from 10:30-11:30 am followed by Mass at 11:30 am, both at St. Clare of Assisi Parish (St. Michael's Church), 313 Memorial Avenue, Gibbstown, NJ.
