On March 22, 2015 of Gibbstown, NJ age 80 yrs. Beloved husband of Claire (nee Winter). Devoted father of Barbara Zane (late Willard), Sherri Trainor (William), James V., III (Julie), and Jeffrey (Michele). Loving grandfather of Kristina, Will, James IV, Angelo, Jakob, Brandon, Noah, and Jordyn. Great-grandfather of Daniel and Amy. Dear brother of Lorraine Bucco (late Joseph), Anthony (Donna), Carole Gentile, Rosemary Maden (Ernie), Dennis (Pat), and Anita Vasta (Lenny). Predeceased by 2 brothers Donald (Eleanor) and Timothy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mr. Gentile was a 1953 graduate of Paulsboro High School where he excelled in football and wrestling. He was a co-founder, past president and long-time coach of the Paulsboro Junior Wrestling Assoc., and was later inducted into the Paulsboro High School, S.J. Wrestling, Gloucester County Sports, and S.J. Fast Pitch Halls of Fame. Prior to retirement, Jim worked for Dupont for many years. He was a past member of the Gibbstown Recreation Committee. An avid boater and fisherman, Mr. Gentile has been a member of the Raccoon Creek Boat Club since 1973. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Thursday evening from 7-9PM and again on Friday morning from 10-11am at the LANDOLFI FUNERAL HOME of PAULSBORO, 300 W. Broad St. Paulsboro, NJ.
