Passed away peacefully on August 16, 2023, of Deptford, NJ, age 72 yrs. Beloved husband of Andrea (nee Montgomery). Devoted father of Amy Amato, James Amato (Monique), and Guy Amato, Jr (Carol). Dear brother of Carol McGinley (Bob). Loving grandfather of Kayla, Gabriel, Aiden, Cole, Lincoln, Lilyana. Guy was a longtime resident of Deptford where he graduated from Deptford High School in 1970. He was very active with youth sports and helped establish soccer leagues in Paulsboro and Logan Twp. Guy served on the PTA of Loudenslager Elementary School for several years. Additionally, Guy held Bible study groups in his home. Guy enjoyed family gatherings, watching old movies, gardening, yardwork, traveling and cooking. Funeral services will take place privately at the convenience of the family.
