Giovanna Malara (nee DeFrancesco), 73, of Gibbstown, passed away December 24, 2011. She is the beloved wife of Leandro Malara, devoted mother of Carmelina (Guieseppe) Geria, Concetta (Benjamin) Malara, Filomena (Joseph III) Malara, grandmother of Leandro, Christina, Jessica, Britanie, Cassandra, Gabriella, Mariah, Adrianna, Christopher, Joseph IV, Dawson, great grandmother of Dominic, sister of Guieseppe (Maria) DeFrancesco, Felicia Zema, Cosma (Nicola) Firmanni and sister-in-law of Catherine (Paul) Malara. Predeceased by her parents Santo and Filomena DeFrancesco, brother Giovanni, sister Bruna.

Giovanna was a seamstress for Albert Forte for over 35 years. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a hard worker, enjoyed cooking, casino, soap operas and game shows.

A viewing will be on Friday 9:30-11am at the St. Michael's Church, St. Clare of Assisi Parish, Memorial Ave., Gibbstown. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11am.
