Francesca Scordo (nee Minniti), 90, of Paulsboro, passed away October 10 2024, at home, with her loving family by her side. She is the wife of the late Antonio Scordo. Francesca was the "Matriarch" of her family and is survived by her devoted children: Joe (Nancy) Scordo, John (Kathleen) Scordo, Lucrezia (James) Johnson, her grandchildren; Antonio, Francesca, Antonio, Vincent, Mary, 8 great grandchildren and her sister Giovanna Minniti. Predeceased by her grandchildren Louis and Michael.

Born in Italy she came to the United States in 1954. Antonio and Francesca owned and operated the well known Scordo's Deli for over 20 years. They were a well respected business that touched many lives in their small town. Their generosity to others goes without saying and had helped many that were less fortunate.

Francesca loved to cook and made the best "meatballs" and enjoyed having her garden. She was the best wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. For all those that knew her she will be sorely missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, 10-11am, at the St. Clare of Assisi Parish (St. Michael's Church), 313 Memorial Avenue, Gibbstown NJ, immediately followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am.
