Elena Comi (nee Morda) passed away peacefully and beautifully on All Souls Day, November 2, 2025 in her home in Paulsboro, NJ, age 85, surrounded by her children and loved ones. Beloved wife of the late Rosario. Devoted mother of Daniela Sorensen and her husband Matthew, Giovanni Comi and his wife Lisa, and Maria Colonna and her husband James. Loving Nonna of Michael, Nicholas, Joseph, Regina, Santino, and Carmelina. Dear sister of Cecilia Polimeni, Rose Sorbello (deceased), Mary Marino (deceased), Antonetta Saporito, Elvira Marino, Santina Saporito, Lou Morda, and Nate Morda. She was a devoted aunt to many nieces and nephews. Elena was born in Diminniti Reggio Calabria, Italy. She was a woman of great faith and devoted to the Blessed Mother. She was the life of the party and there for everyone, present in the highs and lows of life and there to celebrate the many weddings, showers, graduations, sacraments, birthdays and plays of her immediate and extended family. She will be remembered for her impeccable taste, her attention to detail, her love of bling, fine china, roses, and Italian food, culture, and traditions. She was most known for her great love towards everyone she encountered and her incredible strength, even in her last days. There are no words to express how much she will be missed. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Saturday, November 8, 2025 from 10:00 am at Infant Jesus Parish, Saint Margaret's Church, 845 Third Street, Woodbury Heights, NJ, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 pm.
