Dominic J. D'Amore, 79, of Gibbstown, passed away January 24, 2010, after a long, courageous battle with illness. He is the husband of the late Marie (nee Irerra) and father of the late Dominic D'Amore. Beloved father of Salvatore (Christina) D'Amore, loving brother of Angie (Carlo) Finazzo, Phyllis (Rocco) Pardo, Joseph D'Amore, and dedicated Pop Pop of Dominic D'Amore, loving brother-in-law of Delores D'Amore, John and Maryann Benne. Predeceased by sisters Connie Pacetti, Margie Benne, brothers Carmen and Philip D'Amore.

Dominic has been a resident of Gibbstown for over 50 years, was a member of St. Michael's Church and the Carmel S. Morina Sons of Italy and their "Coffee Club". He retired from DuPont's, in Gibbstown, as a professional painter with over 30 years of service. Even after retirement he continued to do painting for many local residents. He was a US Naval Veteran.

A viewing will be on Thursday 7-9pm and Friday 8:30-9:30am at the Landolfi Funeral Home of Paulsboro, 300 W. Broad Street, followed by a Mass of Christian burial, 10am, at the St. Michael's Church, Memorial Ave., Gibbstown. Interment Eglington Cemetery. To share condolences www.landolfifuneralhome.com
