David E. McCormick, 87, of Wilmington, NC, formerly of Bridgeport, passed away October 30, 2008. He was born in Swedesboro to David G. and Grace (Longacre) McCormick on November 24, 1920. He graduated from PHS and attended Oglethorpe University in Atlanta Ga. He served in the Army/AirForce during WWII. After being discharged he went to work with DuPont's in the Repauno plant and in 1972 he was transferred to the Cape Fear DuPont Plant in North Carolina where he retired in 1979.

He is survived by his children Barbara McCormick of Wilmington NC and David L. McCormick of Bridgeport, beloved grandfather of David G. McCormick of Bridgeport and Charles Pickering of Tenn and loving brother of Doris Wright of Bridgeport. Predeceased by his wife Grace (Neff) McCormick in 1985.
