Daisy "Ginny" Smith (nee Powell), 79, of Carney's Point, passed away January 6, 2012. She is the beloved mother of Debra (David) Obermeier, step-mother of Debbie Martin, Helena Malascalza, Richard (Vicki) and Shane (Charlene) Smith, sister of Sonny (Susan) and Jack (Sandy) Powell, Roe McClements, Flossie Bousum, grandmother of Jack, Russell, Charles Wayne, William, Jaclyn, David, great grandmother of Jackie, Dylan, Hayden, Macala, Zachary, Austin, Jaydin, Taylor, Kaylee, Ricky, Roni, Gabrielle, Brianna, CJ, Hunter, Kurstan, Elizabeth, Amanda, Bradley, Jason, and sister-in-law of Jeanette Powell. Predeceased by her husband Richard L. Smith and step-son John Malascalza.

Daisy enjoyed puzzles, crafts, country music and her canine companion "Baby". She was a member of the St. Paul's United Mehtodist Church in Bridgeport.
