Charles O. Duca, 92, from Sewell New Jersey, passed away February 11, 2024, with his loving family by his side. He is the beloved husband for over 55yrs of the late Caroline H. Duca. He is the devoted father of Michael (Jane) Duca, Stephen (Cookiey) Duca, Paul (Kathleen) Duca, Donna (Robert) Miller and Larry (Donna) Duca. He is grandfather of Ryan Duca, Jennifer Adair, Andrew Duca, Jaime Cataldo, Kristi Duca, Kelli and Kimberly Scroger, Brandon and Kyle Duca, Ashley Ewasko and Aaron Weber and Great Grandfather to Matthew Jr. and Charlie Duca, Chase Adair, Oliver Cataldo, Jackson Krause, Oliver Kline, Brandon, Madison, Kyra and AJ Weber, Lindsay, Chris, Abby and Justin Ewasko . Also survived by his siblings; Rose Novotny, Josephine Kappra, Madeline Gentile, Viola Arrivello, and Cathy Vicere. Predeceased by his brothers Peter and Joseph Duca.
Charles is a US Air Force Veteran, he was a Morse Code Operator, a Paulsboro High School graduate of 1948, a member of the Carmel S. Morina Sons of Italy Lodge, Knights of Columbus (Third Degree) and the Tall Pine Country Club. He was a very dedicated parishioner of the Church of the Incarnation in Mantua NJ. Charles was an avid golfer and a Philadelphia sports fan, especially the Eagles. He owned and operated the Poodle Inn & Bar in Paulsboro as well as the Park & Eat Restaurant in Swedesboro. He enjoyed his weekly lunches with his friends and co-workers.
Family and friends are invited to his viewing on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at the Church of the Incarnation, 240 Main Street, Mantua NJ, from 9:30am to 10:45am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am. Interment Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro NJ. At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to either the Church of the Incarnation address provided above or to Samaritan Hospice, www.samaritannj.org.
