Anthony "Kelly" Markegene's Obituary
Anthony "Kelly" Markegene, also known as Mark, 83, of Gibbstown, passed away December 2, 2015, surrounded by his family. He is the beloved husband of the late Annabelle Markegene, devoted father of Anthony "Mark" Markegene (Tina), Robert "Bobby" Markegene (Clara), loving grandfather of Meghann Markegene-Myers (Kai), Robert Markegene, Katie Brennan (Terry), great grandfather of Kailyn, Mason, Riley, Ryleigh, Annabella, and Austin. Predeceased by his sister Anne Perletta and brother Frank Markegene.
During his professional career, Anthony served as Vice President of John B. Kelly, Inc., President of the Employing Bricklayers Assoc., and President of the Delaware Valley Masonry Institute. He served his country in the Naval Reserve Construction Battalion, he is a proud member of the St. Michael's Mutual Club and the Sons of Italy. When he wasn't spending time with his grandchildren/great-grandchildren and faithful feline companion Lucy, he enjoyed his time on the links as an avid golfer.
A viewing will be on Tuesday, 8:30-10:15am at the LANDOLFI FUNERAL HOME of Paulsboro, 300 W. Broad St., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 11am, at the St. Clare of Assisi Parish (St. John's Church), 647 Beacon Ave., Paulsboro. Interment Eglington Mausoleum, Clarksboro NJ.
