Obituary

Anthony "Tony" Chiaradonna, a beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at his side on December 20, 2024 in Mickleton, NJ. Born in Camden, NJ, to the late Eugene and Carmella Perrone Chiaradonna, Tony grew up in Berlin, NJ, alongside his late brother, Donald Chiaradonna and his sister, Matilda Dalton.

Tony spent two years in the United States Army as a paratrooper in the 188th Airborne. He then worked many years at Texaco Eagle Point plant, where he met his beloved wife, Candy, of 44 years. Tony and Candy married on May 9, 1980, and built their home in Mickleton, NJ, where they raised their two beautiful children, Alicia and David, whom Tony adored. They spent many years together as a family, making beautiful memories, their summers at the beach and always having dinner as a family of four at their kitchen table. Tony never missed an event or game for his children. He was always known to be on the sidelines cheering and screaming for his kids' teams to win.

Tony loved a good scotch or a dry Rob Roy. He was a devoted Philadelphia Eagles fan. He loved the snow and Christmas. Tony and his extended family made many trips to the Caribbean, where they lay in the sun and imbibed many cocktails. When Tony met you, he made you feel like the most important person in the room. Tony had an incredible sense of humor and a contagious smile.

Tony is survived by his wife, Candy, his daughter, Alicia (Dion) Romolini, and their two children, Rocco and Lucca, his son, David (Christina) Chiaradonna, and their two children, Sophia Jean and Fiona Ann, who were his beautiful granddaughters and the light of his life. He would FaceTime them daily and loved his visits with them. Tony will also be sorely missed by his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joseph (Sharon) DiMenna, many nieces and nephews, and other family members and dear friends.

Family and friends are invited to his viewing, Friday December 27, 2024 at the Church of the Incarnation, 240 Main Street, Mantua from 10am-11:20am with a Mass of Christian Burial 11:30am. Interment Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro NJ.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tony's memory to the Church of the Incarnation, 240 Main Street, Mantua, NJ 08051, or Samaritan Hospice, Samaritan Gift Processing Center, PO Box 71425, Philadelphia, PA 19176; samaritannj.org.  Arrangements by LANDOLFI FUNERAL HOME of Paulsboro, 300 W.
