Passed away peacefully on December 20, 2020 of Gibbstown, NJ, age 87 Yrs.  Alfio was the owner and operator of Patane Farm on Democrat Rd in Gibbstown for over 70 years.  He took over the farm from his father at a very young age and made it very successful.  Growing vegetables was his passion often referring to his plants as his babies.  He started with market and factory produce and moved onto u-pick which evolved into a prepicked vegetable stand.  Alfio was very generous to his family, friends, and farm workers.  He loved to hunt, fish and travel.  He is predeceased by his mother, father and brother; Grace, Rosario and Leonard Patane as well as his son and daughter Russell and Grace.  He leaves behind his loving wife Mary, daughter Lucille, and his beloved dog Shelly Pauline.  Sister in law Pauline (Rudy), nephew Rudy Tighe (Stacey) and their children Rudy and Rachel; niece Christine Osinski (Joe).  Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Monday morning from 8am to 9:30am at LANDOLFI FUNERAL HOME, 300 W. Broad St, Paulsboro, NJ.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am in St. Clare of Assisi Parish, St. Michael's Church, Memorial Ave, Gibbstown, NJ.
