Albert W. Gommel, Jr., 77, of Gibbstown, passed away January 20, 2025. He is the beloved husband of 51 years to Joanne (nee Aurizio), loving father of Suzanne (Jon) Brunetti, Dan (Maria) Gommel, devoted grandfather of Lena, Toni Ann, Abrianna and Taggan. Also survived by his brother-in-laws Joseph Aurizio and Louis (Penny) Aurizio. Predeceased by his parents Albert W. Gommel, Sr, and Helen (nee Kates) and brother Larry Gommel.

Albert is a US Army Vietnam Veteran, graduated from Audubon High School in 1967, and is a member of The Washington Township VFW Post 6332. He worked for the Philadelphia Navy Yard then the Pentagon, where he later retired. Al loved his puzzles, cooking and baking, Sunset Beach in Cape May and traveling with his special friends. He loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to his viewing of Friday, January 24, 2025 at the St. Clare of Assisi Parish (St. Michael's Church), 313 Memorial Avenue, Gibbstown NJ, from 9:30am to 10:45am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Interment Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro NJ.
